The '''Open Court Publishing Company''' was a Chicago-based publisher responsible for a weekly publication, [[The Open Court (periodical)|''The Open Court'']], and a quarterly journal, ''The Monist''. in 1896, E. C. Hegeler was the President of the company, and Dr. Paul Carus was the editor. [[Anagarika Dharmapala]] had some connection to this company, as he used its letterhead to write to [[Jirah Dewey Buck|Dr. J. D.
